Hi there.Firstly, I'm a noobie to this so you'll have to bear with me.I'm not the most technologically agile.
Secondly, If you're wondering about the name it's a Nick Saloman (AKA The Bevis Frond) song from the excellence that is 'Any Gas Faster'.So as you may have realised this will primarily be a psychedelic/garage blog (the real stuff with guitars and nosebleeds aplenty not that awful, painless, club-rubbish.)
Finally I decided to get my shit together and do it.
It's been a rather strange week this week with my finding out (belatedy,sadly) that a certain Mr John Cooper Clarke was playing a mile up the road.By the time I found out, it was sold out.I saw him about 15 years ago in the same venue (Telfords Warehouse,Chester) and have pestered the owner to get him back on virtually every time I've seen him since, but I've been hermitting a bit for the last few months and the gig wasn't listed. Fortunately a dear friend knew that my birthday was rapidly approaching and realising my obvious fury at being such a twat [sic] in missing said gig she craftily bought a pair of tickets to see him in Liverpool presenting me with said tickets last night.It comes the day after the annual pilgrimage to see Hawkwind possibly at the same venue, making for an exciting lead up to Xmas.
